Reference Letter for Franchise in Indonesia

U.S. Franchise Owner (Franchisor) can offer and sell special right to Indonesian Company (Franchisee) to use business system with distinct characteristics to conduct sales of a product/service in Indonesia. As stipulated in the Indonesian Trade Minister Regulation No. 53/M-DAG/PER/8/2012, offering and selling Franchise to Indonesian company requires Reference Letter from the Commercial Attaché.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

  1. A Franchise Offering Prospectus, legalized by notary public, see example here;
  2. A current Certificate of Good Standing from the Secretary of State office where the U.S. Company is registered, see example here.

PROCEDURE:

  1. Produce the Franchise Prospectus and have it legalized by notary public (in the U.S.).
  2. Obtain Certificate of Good Standing from the Secretary of State.
  3. Start the online Application for Reference Letter.
  4. Once received, Commercial Attaché will process the documents and produce e-Reference Letter for your company within 5 working days. The Reference Letter will be automatically sent to your email. All original copies of the required documents will be mailed back to you.
